For professionals in transition

Intentional conversations
to help you find clarity.

We have decades of expertise. A career's worth of insight. And yet — articulating our value, beyond past titles or the companies we've worked for feels far harder than it should. Slow Sessions help to uncover your richest threads, and give them a voice.

Our identity was always borrowed.

When you are embedded in an organisation, your professional identity is partly assumed. The brand does some of the work. The title does some of the work. The organisational context explains what you do, so you rarely have to.

When the context changes, suddenly you are expected to articulate, from scratch, the thing that was always there — but never needed saying. Your editorial through line. The unique value you offer.

You don't lack confidence. You lack clarity. And that has a solution.

What we hear most

"I know what I bring. I just don't know how to say it without it sounding like a CV."

Slow Sessions.

Designing Value's philosophy is based on 'Slow' movements — food, travel, journalism — and the conviction that the best things should not be rushed. Slow Sessions are intentional conversations. Unhurried. Editorial in intent.

We are not looking for your elevator pitch. You might be building in private or reflecting on your journey beyond a 9-5 role. Whatever your context, we want to tease out the moments where you say something you've never quite articulated before — and recognise it as true.

Every session is captured professionally and the recordings belong to you. From them, we produce a brief: a timestamped record of key moments, a crystallised perspective, and a written reflection on the shape of your thinking.

our philosophy

"We are slow creators, not hustlers - We believe the best ideas surface when you stop performing expertise and start examining it."

01 — Interview

The session

A long-form, professionally recorded conversation. Guided but unscripted. You speak; we listen for the signal in the noise.

02 — Editing

The brief

Timestamped highlights. Your perspective captured. A written reflection on the value proposition your conversation reveals.

03 — Assets

The archive

Your recordings. Your words. Ready to become content, context, or collateral — on your terms, in your time.

What you can expect.

01

Timestamped transcript

A lightly edited document marking key moments in your conversation — where you shifted register, where you surprised yourself, where the real argument emerged. Annotated with editorial context so you can find these moments again.

02

A perspective captured

One idea from your conversation, given shape. Not a summary — a lens. A statement of position that you could put your name to and stand by. Perhaps something you didn't know you thought until you said it aloud.

03

Reflective conversation analysis

A short written reflection on the shape of your overall conversation: what your instincts returned to, where your conviction was strongest, what the through line might be. The editorial eye you cannot apply to yourself.
